 My Passions

I am a man of many passions.  My first and foremost passion is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I am Christian, and I strive for my lifestyle to reflect my love for Him and for everyone around me, both friend and foe.  One way I have expressed this in my lifestyle is by serving – both locally through organizations like “Salt on the Street” in Bellingham, and internationally through Mission Trips: Mexico (2010), Nicaragua (2011) and Sri Lanka (2016).

On a professional level, I am incredibly passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation.  This is the main reason I wanted to get a degree in Business Management.  I believe I can utilize the skills I have learned in school and business to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

I love anything to do with adventure.  This includes hiking, camping, backpacking rock climbing and especially traveling.  I will often do road trips to Utah, where my friends and I will explore the National Parks and backpack through them.  Furthermore, I often utilize my passion for Photography on the many adventures I go on.

I love sports, particularly Ultimate Frisbee.  Ever since my Junior Year of High School, I have absolutely loved the sport.  For me, Ultimate has always been an incredible way to get in shape, be competitive, have fun with friends and meet lots of people.  While attending Bellevue College, I started an Ultimate Frisbee Club on campus.  I would often throw around with my friends after classes got out.  However, I wanted to have a place where we could play regularly after school, especially on Fridays when most of my friends were free.  So I initiated the start of the club and it slowly began to grow.  With hard work and perseverance, the club grew to becoming the second largest on campus as of spring 2013.  As president, I kept it running successfully until I left for Western Washington University.  Here at WWU, I am currently playing for Western’s B-Team, MUD.

Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of volunteering as a camp counselor at several youth camps and leading elementary, junior high, and high school students. I also led elementary school children in the Confident Kids Program, a national organization that assists children struggling with difficult family situations such as divorce and alcoholic parents.  The Confident Kids Program and the youth camps have provided a rich opportunity for me to volunteer in my community.  In addition, two summers ago I worked at Fircreek Day Camp as their Sports Zone Director for the 1st – 6th graders and absolutely loved it.
