My name is Chris Langley and I have grown up in Washington State.  I am currently 24, and am a few weeks from Graduating Western Washington University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, with minors in Economics and International Business.  If people could describe me in seven words, I believe they would say that I am outgoing, active, adventurous, driven, positive, creative and friendly.  My family, friends, and life experiences have influenced me in the areas of leadership, teamwork, problem solving, creativity, adventure, and entrepreneurship.

 

On a professional level, I am a highly organized individual with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.  I am very driven to make a difference in people’s lives, and have often done so with an entrepreneurial spirit; one comprised of leadership, creativity and taking initiative.  This is one of my most important dreams.  While attending Bellevue College, my passion for entrepreneurship began. I strengthened my ability to lead by taking initiative and starting an Ultimate Frisbee Club on campus. With hard work and perseverance, the club grew to becoming the second largest on campus as of spring 2013. As president, I kept it running successfully until I left for Western Washington University.

 

At Western, I continued to foster and grow my leadership skills. I currently lead and mentor 20 younger students in small groups called cores, while managing time between classes and other commitments. In addition, I have honed leadership skills by managing the finances of my house of twelve guys. Aside from leadership opportunities, school has taught me important life skills such as being organized, responsible and well prepared. I plan to incorporate these attributes within my work environment. I believe my technical skills, love for team dynamics and overall life experiences will serve me well in the fields of leadership and entrepreneurship. I am eager and driven to utilize my positive energy, enthusiasm, and leadership skills in the work place, and I look forward to honing my skills wherever life takes me.
